Nectar approached the project with the goal of revamping Petmate’s product images to make them more eye-catching, informative, and conversion-driven. Here’s how the new imagery helped drive higher conversions:

Improved Clarity and Visual Appeal:

  1. Sharper and More Vibrant Colors: Nectar’s images used brighter, more vibrant colors that stood out more on Amazon’s search results pages. This helped Petmate’s products catch the eye of potential buyers more effectively compared to the older, duller images.
  2. Enhanced Lighting: The updated images had better lighting that highlighted the textures and materials of the products. This gave customers a clearer sense of quality, increasing the perceived value of the product.

Emphasizing Product Features:

  1. Focus on Key Features: Nectar’s photography ensured that the most important product features were prominently displayed. For example, the addition of clear labels like “It Glows” on the glow-in-the-dark toys immediately communicated a standout feature, reducing any guesswork for shoppers.
  2. Better Angles and Composition: The new images used more dynamic angles that showcased the product’s design and functionality, making it easier for customers to understand what they were purchasing at a glance.
