To address these challenges, Nectar implemented a four step strategy that focused on optimizing product information and improving SEO performance.

  1. Nectar conducted in-depth keyword research and implemented strategic SEO techniques to optimize Bask's product listings. This included incorporating relevant keywords, A/B testing titles and bullet points, optimizing, and improving backend search terms to enhance the visibility of the scented candles in Amazon's search results. 
  2. Nectar worked with Bask to update and optimize the product information for their scented candles, including detailed scent notes and compelling descriptions. This provided customers with comprehensive and enticing information, improving their engagement and purchase decisions.
  3. Recognizing the power of seasonal and event-driven consumer trends, Nectar used season-specific keywords like "Thanksgiving pillar candles" and "Hanukkah taper candles" during respective holidays to capitalize on the increased search volume. Event-based words were also used(for example: "wedding centerpieces" or "birthday gift candles"). This approach boosted Bask's visibility during high-traffic periods, meeting customers' specific needs.
  4. Continuous Monitoring and Fine-Tuning: Nectar closely monitored the performance of the optimized product listings, analyzing metrics — click-through rates, conversion rates, and sales. Based on the data, adjustments were made to further optimize the listings for improved SEO performance and sales growth.

The strategy yielded impressive results for Bask:

Bask experienced a significant boost in sales, with a remarkable 65% month-over-month growth in 30 days and a 35% year-over-year growth.
