They can try on shoes or eyewear, visualize what an item will look like in their own space, or virtually rotate and zoom in on the product from any direction to see features that might be missed through traditional photography.

3D scanning transforms physical products into digital models, allowing customers to interact with them online. It enhances the shopping experience by enabling features like Virtual Try-On, View in 3D, and View in Your Room, leading to increased customer engagement and higher conversion rates.
Products eligible for 3D scanning must have a 3D Customer Experience (like View-in-3D or AR Virtual Try-On) and be registered in Amazon’s Brand Registry. Products already scanned by another partner or with complex textures might not be suitable.
3D models offer a more immersive shopping experience. Customers can rotate, zoom, and visualize products in their own space, leading to a 2X improvement in purchase conversion and a 9% increase in sales when "View in Your Room" is enabled.
After a product is scanned, it typically takes up to 4 weeks for Amazon to create and finalize the 3D model, after which it will be visible on your product listing.
Mobile 3D scanning is available to all US 3P sellers on iOS devices through the Amazon Seller app and will soon be available to US 1P vendors via the Amazon Vendor app. Specific user permissions are required to access this feature.
